Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a volunteer appointed by the Court to advocate for the best interest of a child. CASA works as trained advocates for children who have entered the court system as victims of abuse or neglect. A CASA volunteer must investigate the facts of the case, recommend a course of action to the Court, and explain the Court’s findings to the child; while also facilitating and monitoring the resolution and progress towards the established goals.
